Welcome to the ACI Care Training Academy
Purpose-built for healthcare professionals, our Care Training Academy offers a focused, hands-on learning environment for up to 12 participants per session—ideal for meaningful interaction and personalised support.
Whether you're a care home worker, domiciliary carer, dentist, GP practice staff member, or allied health professional, our courses are designed with you in mind.
Course Duration
2 day course – usually runs from 10 am to 4 pm either in the training academy or at your venue.
Course Information
Face to Face training course. Students are required to declare physical fitness on a health questionnaire at course start. Course contains physical manual handling skills demonstration and assessment including use of hoists, slide sheets etc.
All resources to teach the course in-house are provided.
Students need to attend a one day refresher every two years.
In line with All Wales Manual Handling Passport.
Mapped and aligned to the UK CSTF (Skills for Health)
CPD certified.
The course is very interactive and includes practical demonstration and practical assessment as well as assessment of learning.
Students are required to prepare a 10 minute presentation to present to the rest of the class on the second day. More information is given at the time of booking.

Persons responsible for the in-house training of nurses, carers, allied healthcare professionals in the workplace who are required to move and handle people.
