About ACI's Fire Safety Practical Training via Webinar

This refresher course is suitable for healthcare professionals and other individuals who require a Fire Safety practical training session.

This course includes a practical session and assessment, delivered over video-link with one of our experienced healthcare trainers. A booklet to support learning, will be sent out after the course.

Attendees will need to provide appropriate ID at the start of the session and must be in a private quiet space.

This course is mapped and aligned to the UK CSTF (Skills For Health).

The following areas will be covered on the course:

  • Understand the characteristics of fire, smoke and toxic fumes
  • Know the fire hazards in the working environment
  • Be aware of the significant findings of relevant fire risk assessments
  • Understand how to practice and promote fire prevention
  • Be aware of basic fire safety and local fire safety protocols including staff responsibilities during a fire incident
  • Know the means of raising the fire alarm and the actions to take on hearing the fire alarm
  • Know instinctively and describe the right action to take if fire breaks out or smoke is detected
  • Be familiar with the different types of fire extinguishers, their use & identify safety precautions associated with their use
