What’s Included in Our Health Screening?
Our screening process is based on UK Government guidance and the Green Book for immunisation. We assess candidates for:
Core Immunisation & Health Checks
- Hepatitis B – Primary course, titre levels, and booster verification
- Varicella (Chickenpox) – Serology, vaccination history, or positive disease history
- Measles, Mumps & Rubella (MMR) – Serology or 2 documented MMR vaccinations
- Tuberculosis (TB) – BCG scar sighting, Heaf/Mantoux tests, and TB risk assessment
- Diphtheria, Polio & Tetanus (DPT) – Booster history (recommended every 10 years)
- COVID-19 & Influenza – Vaccination status recorded (if required)
Exposure Prone Procedures (EPP)
For candidates performing EPP (e.g. surgery, A&E, obstetrics), we require:
- Hepatitis B surface antigen test
- Hepatitis C antibody and RNA test
- HIV dual screen (1 & 2)
All EPP tests must be identity-validated and conducted by a UK-accredited laboratory.

Dr Hancock is an accredited specialist occupational health physician and a member of both the Faculty of Occupational Medicine and the Royal College of Physicians. He has 15 years’ experience in providing occupational health advice to both the private and public sectors.
ACI SAFE (Screening and Fitness for Employment) provides an Occupational Health Screening Fitness to Work service to meet NHS Temporary Staffing Framework Agreements' compliance requirements.
Following a review of your submitted documentation, ACI SAFE provide Fit to Work Certificates for all grades of staff working in the NHS.
