ACI Training and Consultancy Becomes Approved to Deliver Bild ACT and RRN Approved Training for Healthcare and Social Care in Positive Behaviour Management with Physical Skills. (PMVA). We are a Timian Academy and our training services comply with the Restraint Reduction Network Training Standards.
ACI Training and Consultancy is pleased to announce that it has been approved by Timian Learning & Development to become a Timian Academy to deliver Bild ACT and RRN approved Training for Health and Social Care. This training is designed to help healthcare professionals to actively reduce restraint and restrictive techniques to prevent and manage violence and aggression in the workplace.
The PMVA Training course covers a wide range of topics, including:
- Building relationships with patients and colleagues
- Understanding behaviour
- Individual response strategies
- Reducing restrictive practice
- Ethics, law and standards
The course is delivered over 3/4 days as a blended learning package with e-learning and a physical skills teaching and assessment day. It is certified the Bild ACT and RRN. Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:
- Identify the signs of violence and aggression
- Assess the risk of violence and aggression
- Develop a plan to prevent and manage violence and aggression
- Use appropriate physical intervention techniques
- Apply ethical and legal principles to violence and aggression management
